I am an oil painter based in County Antrim. I was born near Cookstown, County Tyrone, and grew up on a small farm, where my interest in wildlife, drawing and the countryside began. God’s creation and the landscape around me provided an endless source of inspiration.

I attended Belfast Art College in 1988–89 and have painted professionally for many years. My work is mainly in oils and includes landscape, rural life and farm animals.

Increasingly, I paint directly outdoors, particularly around the County Antrim coast and the Glens, responding to the changing light, weather and character of individual places.
